David Titlow: Me and My Monkey

 David Titlow has worked for everyone, from Conde Nast, Stella, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire, Stylist Magazine, Esquire, Vice, Nylon, Rolling Stone and more. With the breadth of work photographers like Titlow have, it can be hard to pinpoint their signature style. However, it is with his unique sense of playful positioning, party ambience, and colourful application that one can detect a Titlow photo. When I corresponded with him, he mentioned that he prefers ”to shoot quickly with little fuss and enjoy working with my current team who are very fast – am equally happy on location or in the studio“ In his latest editorial shoot for The Stylist, “Me and My Monkey” is the perfect example of his playfully wild side and ability to capture the right moment. A crimped haired, fur wearing model strolls the grocery aisle, goes to the movies, art gallery, cafe, laundromat, park, with a human size monkey!  I asked Titlow how this shoot began, “the fashion director called me up and said she had the perfect story for me to shoot called ‘me and my monkey’ (the original title) to which I replied “if there’s a monkey in it, I’ll do it” and that was that”. It is not just his amazing work, but that he doesn’t take himself too seriously, anyone would be lucky to work with him.

Quando in corrispondenza con lui, ha detto che lui preferisce "sparare velocemente con poco clamore e piace lavorare con la mia squadra attuale, che sono molto veloci - sono altrettanto felice in esterni o in studio" Nel suo ultimo editoriale riprese per lo stilista, "Me and My Monkey "è l'esempio perfetto del suo lato selvaggio e giocosamente capacità di catturare il momento giusto. A stringere i capelli, la pelliccia che indossa modello passeggiate la navata di alimentari, va al cinema, galleria d'arte, bar, lavanderia a gettoni, parco, con una scimmia misura d'uomo! Ho chiesto Titlow come questa ripresa ha cominciato, "il direttore moda mi ha chiamato e ha detto che aveva la storia perfetta per me sparare chiamato 'me e la mia scimmia' (il titolo originale), a cui ho risposto" se c'è una scimmia in esso, lo farò ", e questo è quanto". Non è solo il suo lavoro straordinario, ma che non si prende troppo sul serio, chiunque sarebbe fortunato a lavorare con lui.
